Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and FEA analysis.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to ensure alignment with electrical and software teams.
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Conduct root cause analysis for design failures and implement robust engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure component quality and manufacturing scalability.
- Oversee prototyping cycles from initial concept through to final production validation.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for design for manufacturing (DFM).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and system integration.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material selection, and precision machining processes.
- Proven track record of taking complex mechanical projects from concept to market.
- Experience with robotic arm kinematics or automation systems is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
