Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of critical aircraft mechanical systems using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD simulations for structural validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions
- Develop detailed technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Stay current with industry standards (ASME, FAA) and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record with GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
