Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and test protocols
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance through FEA and CFD analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Interface with suppliers to source specialized components and validate manufacturing processes
- Support prototype testing and failure analysis to refine engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
