Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and ANSYS for thermal/structural analysis
- Design and validate prototype systems through FEA simulations and physical testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated solutions
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T drawings, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for sustainable product innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for complex electro-mechanical systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS with portfolio of successful projects
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and product validation methodologies
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining) and testing procedures
- Proven ability to lead projects from conception to mass production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative approach to engineering challenges
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
