Apex Robotics is seeking a high-caliber Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead the development of next-generation robotic components. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex theoretical design and robust real-world performance, driving innovation in an agile, fast-paced environment.
We offer state-of-the-art facilities, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work on projects that directly influence global manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical assemblies from concept through to production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks/NX) to create precise 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Conduct rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate robotic systems.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee physical testing to validate design specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics or industrial automation.
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and kinematics.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from design to mass production.
- Experience with simulation software (ANSYS or similar) for thermal and stress analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical decision-making.
