Responsibilities

  • Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptualization and design to prototyping and mass production.
  • Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Perform rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and performance under dynamic loads.
  • Select optimal materials and manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing) to balance cost and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronics and control software.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
  • Oversee testing and validation processes to meet stringent industry safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics or aerospace industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PDM systems.
  • Strong grasp of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis.
