Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept to production release
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for complex mechanical systems
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate designs for stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM principles and cost-effective solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality standards
- Research emerging materials and technologies to enhance product performance
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial or automotive products
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assembly modeling
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and simulation methodologies
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA processes
- Proven track record of bringing products from prototype to mass production
- Strong problem-solving skills with Six Sigma or similar certification
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional projects
