Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize product designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to build and test functional prototypes
- Interface with suppliers to source components and ensure manufacturing feasibility
- Document design processes, create technical specifications, and maintain compliance with industry standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo) and CAE tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Experience with FEA simulation and thermal analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Strong communication abilities and cross-functional collaboration experience
