Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complex mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress simulations for structural validation
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications
- Lead cross-functional teams in product development lifecycle
- Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing processes
- Validate prototypes through rigorous testing and failure analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven project leadership in regulated industries
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Clearance eligibility for government contracts
