Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to FAA certification
- Perform advanced FEA/CFD analysis using ANSYS and SolidWorks Simulation
- Develop innovative thermal management solutions for turbine systems
- Collaborate with materials science team on composite material applications
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Interface with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years' experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite (Structural, Thermal, CFD)
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and tolerance analysis
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
