Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and NX
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal performance analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for aerospace components
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with AS9100 standards
- Collaborate with R&D team to implement material innovations and lightweighting solutions
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX) and simulation software (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Proven track record in developing complex mechanical systems for aerospace/defense
- Strong understanding of AS9100, FAA, and MIL-STD specifications
- Experience with composites, titanium, and advanced manufacturing processes
- Project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
