Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of vehicle subsystems using CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX)
- Conduct FEA simulations for structural integrity and thermal performance optimization
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to validate designs through physical testing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and cost reduction
- Mentor junior engineers and review design compliance with industry standards (SAE, ISO)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive/industrial products
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and finite element analysis
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Experience with electric powertrain systems or autonomous vehicle integration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
