Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from concept design to high-volume manufacturing deployment.
- Design intricate mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and perform advanced FEA to ensure structural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software teams to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee prototyping and fabrication processes.
- Identify and implement design improvements to increase machine throughput and reduce downtime.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on complex mechanical failures and develop robust mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, casting), and material science.
- Proven track record of taking complex projects from initial design to market launch.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
