Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize complex assemblies for aerospace applications
- Conduct FEA simulations and material analysis for performance validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on DFM/DFA principles
- Prepare technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years in mechanical design with aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards
- Proven track record in new product development lifecycle
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
