Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and assembly procedures
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new concepts
- Optimize designs for cost, weight, and performance targets
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Certification in AS9100 or similar quality systems
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven project leadership and problem-solving skills
- Active US security clearance (or ability to obtain)
