Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Utilize CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS) for structural analysis and optimization
- Develop detailed technical specifications and manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams for integrated system solutions
- Conduct DFMEA and root cause analysis for product reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and implement design best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and finite element analysis tools
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-precision mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and system thinking abilities
- PE certification or equivalent professional credentials preferred
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
