Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis for structural integrity and thermal performance optimization
- Develop manufacturing processes and documentation for production-ready designs
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies for aerospace applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and DFMA principles
- Proven track record in developing complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
