Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization through prototyping and validation
- Develop detailed CAD models and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks and PTC Creo
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal performance analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, PTC Creo, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- AS9100 certification and experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
