Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release using SolidWorks and NX
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for stress analysis, thermal management, and fluid dynamics optimization
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including BOMs, GD&T specifications, and assembly procedures
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM principles and resolve production issues
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with ASME/ISO standards
- Research and integrate advanced materials (composites, alloys) and additive manufacturing techniques
- Interface with clients to translate technical requirements into actionable engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years of experience in precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in developing aerospace, automotive, or high-volume consumer products
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical process control
- Experience with rapid prototyping, material testing, and validation methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to stakeholders
