Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace-grade components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM principles and cost reduction strategies
- Mentor junior engineers while establishing design standards and best practices
- Interface with suppliers to qualify components and resolve technical issues
- Document design processes and maintain compliance with AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assemblies
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS) and thermal analysis
- Proven track record of bringing products from prototype to production
- Knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- AS9100 certification or equivalent quality management experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
