Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and prototyping of advanced aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems
- Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and DFMA principles
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
