Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to validation using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for structural integrity and performance optimization
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with materials and manufacturing teams to ensure producibility and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct prototype testing, failure analysis, and design validation in laboratory environments
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years of aerospace or high-performance product design experience
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Deep understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and propulsion systems
- Strong hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and validation testing methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems in regulated industries
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
