You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into high-performance solutions while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural validation and performance optimization
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test innovative mechanical systems
- Implement DFM/DFA principles to enhance manufacturing efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive mechanical design experience in manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, and kinematics
- Proven experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with Six Sigma/DFSS certification
