What You'll Do
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of the entire production lifecycle. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying bottlenecks, optimizing workflows, and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Responsibilities
- Lead Process Optimization: Analyze current manufacturing processes and design strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput without compromising quality.
- Machinery & Automation: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex automated machinery and assembly lines. Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Spearhead Lean Six Sigma initiatives (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred) to drive continuous improvement across all production departments.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer specifications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, labor, and energy consumption within the production floor.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is highly preferred.
- Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Safety Compliance: Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols in an industrial environment.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and production teams.
