Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and commission PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for automated assembly lines.
  • Integrate multi-axis robotic arms (FANUC, KUKA, or ABB) into existing production sequences to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Lead root-cause analysis investigations for complex electrical, mechanical, and software failures on the high-speed production floor.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and seamless transition from prototype to high-volume assembly.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) automation projects from initial scope definition and vendor selection through final site acceptance testing (SAT).
  • Implement predictive maintenance protocols using IoT sensors, smart actuators, and edge computing analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (Automotive or Aerospace preferred).
  • Proven expertise in programming PLC systems (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000) and configuring industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Demonstrated experience deploying robotic systems and managing end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) design.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, ANSI, and RIA safety standards for industrial robotic work cells.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
