Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for automated assembly lines.
- Integrate multi-axis robotic arms (FANUC, KUKA, or ABB) into existing production sequences to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Lead root-cause analysis investigations for complex electrical, mechanical, and software failures on the high-speed production floor.
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and seamless transition from prototype to high-volume assembly.
- Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) automation projects from initial scope definition and vendor selection through final site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Implement predictive maintenance protocols using IoT sensors, smart actuators, and edge computing analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (Automotive or Aerospace preferred).
- Proven expertise in programming PLC systems (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000) and configuring industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
- Demonstrated experience deploying robotic systems and managing end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) design.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, ANSI, and RIA safety standards for industrial robotic work cells.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
