Responsibilities
- Direct and optimize daily warehouse, distribution, and freight operations to ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a diverse team of warehouse supervisors, dispatchers, and floor staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast capacity requirements and manage inventory levels.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation and safety regulations.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track metrics and generate performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, freight, or warehouse operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling large distribution teams.
- Deep understanding of domestic freight networks, routing, and transportation regulations.
- Proficiency in modern logistics software, ERP systems, and WMS platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.
