Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic operational plans to improve regional freight throughput.
- Manage end-to-end transportation workflows, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics coordinators and fleet dispatchers.
- Optimize route efficiency using advanced telematics and predictive analytics software.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with third-party carriers and warehouse partners.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement in cost reduction and delivery speed.
- Oversee seasonal peak planning to ensure service level agreements are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within the transportation or trucking industry.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and fleet optimization software.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and industry safety compliance standards.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex operational data.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate high-pressure decision-making scenarios.
- Certification in APICS or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.
