Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective freight movement.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Manage relationships with key carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers to achieve operational targets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to resolve supply chain disruptions proactively.
- Manage the annual operating budget for the regional distribution center.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in transportation management or heavy-freight logistics.
- Proven track record of optimizing supply chain workflows and reducing operational costs.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of federal and state freight regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in a high-pressure environment.
- Professional certification such as CLTD or CSCP is highly preferred.
