Responsibilities
- Direct daily transportation operations and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven improvements.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of fleet coordinators and dispatchers to achieve quarterly KPIs.
- Manage key carrier relationships and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) to maximize cost-efficiency.
- Oversee warehouse flow and inventory accuracy across regional distribution points.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to integrate new TMS (Transportation Management System) technologies.
- Ensure 100% compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations across all fleet assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation or freight management.
- Expert-level proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or MercuryGate).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
- Proven track record of improving operational margins and reducing transit times.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing teams of 20+ staff.
- Certification in Logistics/Supply Chain (CLTD or CSCP) is highly preferred.
