Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Manage relationships with key carriers, 3PL partners, and vendors to optimize route performance.
- Utilize data analytics to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable operational improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and environmental mandates.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of dispatchers and logistics coordinators.
- Develop and manage annual departmental budgets to ensure maximum profitability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement and inventory workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive management experience in transportation or freight forwarding.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP software.
- Expertise in route optimization, fleet management, and carrier procurement strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale operations in a high-pressure environment.
- Professional certification such as CLTD or CSCP is highly preferred.
