Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic logistics plans to optimize delivery times and reduce operational overhead.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers, warehouse staff, and freight coordinators.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to fleet performance, fuel consumption, and route efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations and state-specific transportation safety standards.
- Manage vendor and third-party carrier relationships to secure cost-effective shipping lanes.
- Implement advanced TMS (Transportation Management Systems) to modernize tracking and reporting workflows.
- Oversee emergency response protocols for real-time supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in transportation or distribution operations.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS software and Microsoft Excel (data modeling).
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and commercial transportation compliance.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on stakeholder management.
- Six Sigma or APICS certification is highly preferred.
