Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations, focusing on efficiency, cost-reduction, and safety compliance.
- Manage relationships with key third-party logistics (3PL) carriers to ensure optimal service level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize advanced TMS platforms to monitor real-time shipment tracking and resolve transit bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement operational KPIs to measure performance, fuel efficiency, and fleet utilization.
- Lead cross-functional teams in planning seasonal freight surges and identifying potential scalability constraints.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations and industry-specific safety protocols across all transport channels.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize route planning and reduce operational carbon footprints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume transportation or logistics environments.
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, carrier operations, and complex distribution networks.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar operational budgets and improving profit margins.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate remote and on-site teams.
