Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to optimize fleet utilization and carrier performance.
- Oversee daily logistics workflows, ensuring strict adherence to delivery SLAs and regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and third-party logistics partners to streamline the supply chain.
- Implement data-driven process improvements to reduce transit times and operational expenditures.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Monitor KPIs and produce detailed reports on transportation efficiency, cost-per-mile, and delivery accuracy.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehousing departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the transportation or freight industry.
- Deep understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP platforms.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-modal transportation networks.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage carrier partnerships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards.
