Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic logistics plans to optimize transit efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage end-to-end transportation workflows, including carrier relationships, route planning, and fleet dispatch.
- Implement data-driven performance metrics (KPIs) to track delivery times, service quality, and cost-per-mile.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Mentor and lead cross-functional logistics teams to ensure adherence to company performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse management to synchronize inventory flow and distribution cycles.
- Identify and implement automation technologies to improve load planning and real-time shipment tracking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation management or logistics operations within a mid-to-large scale organization.
- Deep understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP platforms.
- Proven ability to manage complex dispatch schedules and multi-modal freight operations.
- Strong analytical skills with a mastery of data visualization and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities to manage remote and on-site staff.
- In-depth knowledge of North American freight regulations and safety compliance.
