Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring peak delivery performance and cost-effective freight management across domestic and international lanes.
- Deploy and optimize advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to automate routing and enhance real-time visibility.
- Manage strategic partnerships with third-party carriers and negotiate high-volume service level agreements to ensure capacity and quality.
- Synthesize logistics performance metrics to identify operational bottlenecks and implement Lean-based continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers and warehouse coordinators to exceed aggressive monthly performance KPIs.
- Ensure total compliance with DOT regulations, international shipping protocols, and corporate safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related Business field; MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive leadership experience within logistics operations, freight forwarding, or distribution.
- Expert proficiency in enterprise-level ERP and TMS platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or MercuryGate).
- Proven success in high-stakes contract negotiation and vendor management for multimillion-dollar logistics accounts.
- Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business strategies.
- Professional certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, APICS CSCP, or CPIM is highly desirable.
