Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to improve fleet utilization and reduce transit costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations coordinators, dispatchers, and warehouse supervisors.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate carrier contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Oversee the integration of new logistics software to streamline end-to-end supply chain visibility.
- Manage departmental budgets and prepare quarterly performance reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale distribution operations and fleet logistics.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Deep understanding of US freight regulations, carrier management, and multimodal shipping.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
