Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost optimization.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify and implement process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of dispatchers, warehouse coordinators, and fleet managers.
- Manage relationships with key carriers and logistics partners to negotiate favorable service agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to align logistics strategy with sales forecasts.
- Develop innovative strategies to reduce overhead costs while maintaining high service levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and fleet optimization software.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, warehousing, and multi-modal transportation logistics.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of managing large, decentralized teams.
- Certifications such as CLTD or CSCP are highly preferred.
