Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations and freight forwarding processes.
- Optimize fleet scheduling and route planning to maximize fuel efficiency and delivery speed.
- Manage key carrier partnerships and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) for cost-effective freight movement.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective strategies.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Implement advanced TMS technology to digitize tracking and reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
- Proven track record in managing complex supply chain networks and multi-modal freight.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in TMS software and data visualization tools.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a deep understanding of carrier markets.
- In-depth knowledge of federal transportation laws and safety compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
