Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to improve transit speed and reduce operational overhead.
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including route optimization, maintenance scheduling, and driver performance metrics.
- Manage multi-modal freight transport, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and industry compliance standards.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of operations coordinators, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean logistics methodologies to minimize waste and maximize throughput.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless network integration.
- Analyze supply chain data to forecast capacity requirements and mitigate potential bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics operations or transportation management.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and advanced route optimization software.
- Deep understanding of DOT regulations, OSHA safety protocols, and regional logistics compliance.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.
