You will be responsible for streamlining our domestic freight movements, optimizing carrier relationships, and implementing cutting-edge logistics technology to drive efficiency and profitability in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic logistics plans to optimize fleet utilization and distribution network performance.
- Manage end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
- Negotiate and maintain strong contractual relationships with third-party carriers and logistics partners.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers and supply chain coordinators.
- Oversee budget management for the transportation department, focusing on cost-reduction and margin expansion.
- Ensure full adherence to FMCSA regulations and state/federal transportation policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high-volume transportation or logistics management.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data analytics software.
- Proven ability to manage carrier negotiations and logistics procurement processes.
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, FTL/LTL operations, and supply chain logistics.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable operational strategies.
