Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to reduce transit times and operational costs.
- Manage relationships with key 3PL carriers, brokers, and local freight partners to ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics using TMS software to identify and mitigate process bottlenecks.
- Oversee fleet compliance, safety regulations, and documentation for both domestic and cross-border shipments.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistical disruptions in real-time.
- Implement lean methodology initiatives to optimize warehouse and transit throughput.
- Prepare quarterly operational budgets and executive performance reports for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (SAP or Oracle preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and national shipping compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience managing decentralized teams of 10+ employees.
- Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, highly dynamic operational environment.
