Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to improve network throughput and reduce transit costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of dispatchers, warehouse coordinators, and fleet managers to ensure peak operational performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements.
- Oversee vendor relationships with 3PL providers and carrier partners to maintain high service level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize advanced TMS software to optimize routing, load consolidation, and freight scheduling.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and industry-specific transportation laws.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to align logistics capacity with shifting market demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation operations, preferably in a high-volume freight environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale logistics operations and cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems), ERP software, and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are highly preferred.
