Responsibilities
- Direct end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring on-time delivery and strict adherence to service level agreements.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce operational costs while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
- Analyze supply chain performance data to identify bottlenecks and execute data-driven process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including procurement, fleet management, and executive leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety protocols.
- Manage relationships with key 3PL partners and external carriers to ensure optimal route planning and capacity management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation management, fleet operations, or logistics leadership.
- Expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and advanced data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of domestic freight operations, carrier relations, and industry regulations.
- Proven ability to lead large teams through organizational change and high-pressure scenarios.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable, long-term operational efficiency.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) are highly preferred.
