Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations, ensuring on-time delivery and operational excellence.
- Negotiate and maintain strategic partnerships with third-party carriers and logistics vendors.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance bottlenecks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve last-mile delivery efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new transport management systems (TMS).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, carrier management, and distribution networks.
- Proven track record of optimizing operational costs without compromising service quality.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS software and Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are highly preferred.
