Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to improve delivery lead times and reduce operational overhead.
- Oversee daily dispatch operations, fleet maintenance schedules, and third-party carrier relations.
- Implement data-driven performance metrics to monitor route efficiency and warehouse throughput.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of dispatchers, warehouse managers, and administrative staff.
- Manage regulatory compliance regarding DOT, FMCSA, and local transportation statutes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize vendor contracts and freight spend.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of senior-level operations experience within the trucking, freight forwarding, or 3PL industry.
- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Oracle, SAP, or MercuryGate.
- Deep understanding of North American freight corridors and supply chain network design.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale change management and process optimization projects.
- Superior analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on crisis management in time-sensitive environments.
