Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to optimize delivery performance and reduce operational costs.
- Manage relationships with third-party carriers and warehouse partners to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers, warehouse leads, and logistics coordinators.
- Monitor real-time data to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions to improve service levels.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
- Analyze quarterly performance metrics and report directly to executive leadership on growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics management, transportation planning, or supply chain operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, FTL/LTL shipping, and final-mile distribution models.
- Proven ability to manage high-stress environments and complex logistical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
