Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to minimize costs and maximize delivery efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers.
- Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with national and regional freight carriers.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse management to streamline inbound and outbound freight flow.
- Manage operational budgets and report on quarterly performance to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in transportation management or logistics operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
- Proven leadership experience in managing distributed teams.
- Deep understanding of freight forwarding, last-mile delivery, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.
