Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end transportation planning and fleet optimization strategies.
- Manage key carrier relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely freight movement.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous process improvement.
- Oversee compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse management teams to synchronize inbound/outbound schedules.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team to achieve quarterly service benchmarks.
- Implement advanced TMS (Transportation Management System) upgrades for improved visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume transportation or logistics management.
- Expertise in freight forwarding, truckload (TL), and less-than-truckload (LTL) markets.
- Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding $5M annually.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS software and Microsoft Excel/Tableau for data analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and safety compliance.
