Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring on-time delivery and operational excellence.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with freight carriers, 3PL partners, and vendors to optimize costs.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve fleet utilization and reduce transit bottlenecks.
- Oversee compliance with DOT regulations and maintain high standards of safety protocols across the fleet.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and service level improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Mentor and manage a team of logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Expert knowledge of TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP software.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale freight operations and carrier procurement.
- Strong understanding of domestic shipping regulations and industry compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Certification in APICS, CSCP, or Six Sigma is considered a strong asset.
