Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to optimize freight movement and reduce overhead.
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including vendor management, route planning, and carrier negotiations.
- Implement data-driven performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated supply chain management software.
- Manage complex regulatory compliance requirements, including DOT and safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the regional operations team to foster a culture of safety and precision.
- Analyze logistics market trends to anticipate capacity requirements and mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation or freight brokerage.
- In-depth knowledge of TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP software integration.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar transportation budgets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on stakeholder relationship management.
- Certification in APICS, CLTD, or CSCP is highly preferred.
